This website is run by Service Carolina LLC, which does business as Workfinder Carolina. Using it means agreeing to what is on this page. It is short on purpose.
What this site is
A place to tell a staffing agency what you do, so a coordinator can look for work for you. It is not a job board, and building a profile is not an application to a particular employer. We place work in North and South Carolina only.
It is free, and it stays free
You never pay us anything, at any point. The business we place you with pays us. If anyone asks you for a fee to get work through us, it is not us.
We cannot promise you a job
Building a profile does not guarantee a placement, a call, or an offer. What we have depends on which businesses are hiring, where, and for what.
If we place you, you work for us
When we place you, we hire you as a W-2 employee. Taxes come out of your check and we carry workers' compensation coverage on you. You are not an independent contractor and you are not on your own on a job site. Nothing on this website is by itself an offer of employment — a real job comes with its own paperwork, which you see and sign before you start.
The background check question is not consent
The profile asks whether you would agree to a background check. That answer is a screening question and nothing else. If we ever run one, you will first get a separate written notice on its own and be asked to authorise it in writing, which is what federal law requires.
Your account
Tell us the truth on your profile: a coordinator sends you to a real job site based on what it says. Keep your password to yourself. One account per person. Photos you upload have to be of your own work, and a resume you attach has to be yours.
Your photos, your resume, your words
They stay yours. Putting them on your profile gives us permission to show them to our coordinators, and to a business when we put you forward for a job. Take them off your profile and that permission ends.
What we can do
We can change how the site works, and we can close an account that is being used to mislead people or to harass someone. If we close yours, we will tell you why.
The site itself
We keep it running as well as we can, but we do not promise it will never be down and never be wrong. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using this website. That limit has nothing to do with what we owe you as your employer once you are placed — those obligations come from the law and from your employment paperwork, not from this page, and nothing here reduces them.

The laws of the State of North Carolina.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
